About This Trip
You will be picked up directly from your hotel in the early morning hours. Depending on the option you book, you will travel in a luxurious, air-conditioned limousine or a spacious van - always with the highest level of comfort and the best service. During the journey you will receive snacks, cola and three bottles of water for refreshment. As you drive through the desert, you will admire the impressive mountain ranges, whose unique rock layers reflect the history of the earth.
The first stop is Sakkara, where you'll marvel at the groundbreaking Step Pyramid of Djoser - the oldest monumental structure in the world. Your experienced guide will explain the development from the simple mastabas to the well-known pyramid shape. You will also visit a colorful tomb of a nobleman, decorated with reliefs from everyday life in ancient Egypt.
You will then travel to Memphis, the former capital of Ancient Egypt. The colossal statue of Ramses II and the mysterious alabaster sphinx await you there.
We continue to the legendary Giza Plateau, home of the world-famous pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure. You can also marvel at the majestic Great Sphinx, guardian of the pyramids for thousands of years.
For lunch, enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant overlooking the pyramids (drinks not included).
